(Berlin) Nineteen-year old Jhaimarr San Miguel won third place in the international student poster competition entitled "Water is Life 2015" sponsored by the German Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning Association ( ZVSHK).

In describing his poster design, Mr. San Miguel said that “Every drop counts” serves as a reminder to people of the importance of water as a resource. He explained that water is vital “not only for each individual but for humanity as a whole” and that we should be “extremely careful and considerate in our use of water because not everyone on the planet has as plentiful a supply of water as we do.”

Mr. San Miguel is currently enrolled at the FEU Institute of Technology and has been interested in graphic design since entering college.  In an interview by the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, Mr. San Miguel said that the poster competition was only the second contest he had entered, and he was “overwhelmed” to learn his design was judged to win third prize.
