Vice President Binay to dialogue with the Filipino Community in Germany
The
Honorable Vice President Jejomar Binay will undertake a working visit
to Germany from 4-9 June 2013 to further promote Philippine-German
bilateral relations.
As Presidential Adviser on Overseas Filipino
Workers' (OFW) Concerns, the Vice President is eager to interact with as
many Filipinos all over Germany.

Vice President Binay to undertake working visit to Germany
The Philippine Embassy in Berlin is pleased to announce that Vice President Jejomar Binay will undertake a working visit to Germany from June 04 to 09 to further promote Philippine-German bilateral relations and to sustain the momentum created by the earlier exchange of visits between Secretary Albert del Rosario and German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle.

AN EVENING OF CLASSICAL MUSIC
- A PRELUDE TO THE 60th ANNIVERSARY OF PHILIPPINES-GERMANY DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
 Ambassador Maria Cleofe R. Natividad gives the welcome remarks Berlin. A Philippine-German trio capped a sunny Saturday evening with selections from Seidl, Mozart, Africa, Ravel, and Brahms performed by Filipino pianist Peter Porticos, German pianist Klaus Högg, and German violinist Annette Mettenleiter. Some 150 guests attended an “Evening of Classical Music” hosted by Philippine Ambassador Maria Cleofe R. Natividad at the Philippine Embassy’s Bulwagang Bagumbayan.
The repertoire included the premier of Antonio Africa’s composition of “Luksong Tinik.”
Peter Porticos finished Master’s of Music degree in Piano Performance under Prof. Walter Olbertz at the Hanns Eisler Music Conservatory in Berlin and has attended intensive master classes in German songs with Prof. Norman Shetler at the Unversität Mozarteum in Salzburg. He has given a few concerts in Slovenia, France and Germany and is on a second German concert tour with German violinist Annette Mettenleiter.
Porticos also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from the Ateneo de Manila and a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance (magna cum laude) from the U.S.T. Conservatory of Music where he was mentored in Piano by Leonor Kilayko, the late Marina Escano and Fr. Manuel Maramba, OSB. His first influential teacher in piano was the late Carmen Hernandez. He is a faculty member of the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music and the Ateneo de Manila University School of Humanities.

Manila - Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario on Friday, April 12, received a delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the German Bundestag headed by Chairman Ruprecht Polenz (CDU/CSU).
The delegation, which is on official visit to Manila from April 11 to 13, includes Mr. Hans-Ulrich Klose (SPD), Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Deputy Head of Delegation; Mr. Jürgen Klimke (CDU/CSU); Mr. Johannes Pflug (SPD); Dr. Rainer Stinner (FDP) Committee; Mr. Stefan Liebich (Die Linke); and Dr. Michael Fuchs, Head of the Committee Secretariat.

 First Secretary and Consul Adrian Cruz receives from a Deutsche Post courier the mailed ballots from Filipinos who have registered for the 2013 national elections. Berlin – The overseas voting for the Philippines’ mid-term national election has now started in Germany with the Philippine Embassy receiving 154 mailed ballots as of 15 April 2013.
On 15 April 2013, First Secretary and Consul Adrian Cruz, the designated chairperson of the Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group of the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, received thirteen electoral mails from Deutsche Post.

Philippine Embassy Berlin Conducts Consular Outreach in Stuttgart |

 Serviced with a smile. Passport applicants flash their thumbs-up sign as they wait for their turn at the consular mobile outreach held inside the DEKRA conference hall in Stuttgart. Berlin – The Philippine Embassy in Berlin composed of Consul Adrian Cruz, Ms. Flordeliza Delos Santos, Ms. Melinda Hernias, Ms. Lianna Judith Sale and Mr. Armand Mahinay conducted a mobile consular outreach service in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg on 12 April 2013.
The team facilitated 97 e-passport applications, 14 authentication and notarials, 6 civil registrations and 70 certificate of identity registrations. The team noted that there were passport applications that were accepted from Filipinos along the border of Germany and Switzerland.  Attache Flordeliza Delos Santos double-checks the passport data entry of an applicant.
